History Behind the Label

Label: Dandelion

The Vance label was owned and run by Dick Vance from the mid to late 50's at the Dick Vance Studios, 3409 Grand Ave. Oakland for a short while before moving to 3249 Grand Ave. Oakland, California and later Los Angeles throughout the late 50's through until the early 70's.

Vance was only one of the label names used by Dick Vance throughout this time and the other related labels such as Vance Records, V.R., Vance Hollywood Masters, Dick Vance Records or Studio's, Dick Vance Religious Gems, Dee Vee Records, Dick Vance Productions, Dandelion, Dove and Trump Records all relate to the same label and fit within the numbering system used.
